Google Sitemaps Team Interview
" Google Sitemaps was launched in June 2005 to enhance Google's Web crawling process in cooperation with Webmasters and site owners. Collaborative crawling takes Webmasters into the boat to some degree, and both sides did learn a lot from each other in the last months. Googles Sitemaps Team does listen to Joe Webmasters needs, questions, and suggestions. They have implemented a lot of very useful features based on suggestions in the Google Sitemaps Group, an open forum where members of the Sitemaps team communicate with their users, handing out technical advice even on weekends. The nickname Google Employee used by the Sitemaps team makes it regularly on the list of This month's top posters.

Google and Skype invest in startup to link hotspots and help owners charge for Wi-Fi access
" NEW YORK Google Inc. and eBay Inc.s Skype are investing in a startup that plans to help hotspot owners charge for Wi Fi access, a plan that could face significant opposition from Internet service providers.
The Internet heavyweights were joined by venture capital firms Index Ventures and Sequoia Capital in making a $22 million investment in FON, the Spanish startup. In its announcement Sunday, FON did not say how much each investor was contributing.
